You could say that I have neglected my blog. Life happens! I have been racing around trying to get all of my ducks in a row before I have surgery on my ankle and am out of commission for up to 6 weeks. Just in time for the holidays. But I have been busy hand marbling tons of fabrics. Not to worry I have lots.

Above is the newest featured fabric. I call it The Other Copper because it is the same background color as the Copper that you will find on my web site. But I hand marbled it using very different colors to create the Switchback design. Part of the fun is experimenting with different color combinations to see what happens. Some of the colors I use are opaque and they usually turn out their original color. But I also use some transparent colors and they may turn out very different when marbled over an colored background.
Surgery is on Thursday, December 6th, send good thoughts and prayers my way.

I am trying to get my life shoveled out. I have been so busy traveling to quilt shows. It seamed that all I did was come home throw the dirty laundry in to the washing machine, restock, put the clean laundry back in the bag and go. On one hand it is great fun, but on the other hand, traveling can be exhausting. What a mess I came home to.

But I am already back to dying and hand marbling fabric. I have a bunch of shows lined up already for the winter and spring and I would hate to get caught short handed. I already have new colors and combinations dancing in my head. I just ordered 300 yards of PFD (prepared for dying) fabric, just to get me started.

I hope to get creating soon so you can see what I have been up to.
